A Sleepover To Remember

Last Saturday, my roommate left me all alone to fend for myself over the weekend:( Okay not really. But she did leave! Anyway, Saturday night, I decided ask my two new friends Cheryl and Bryn to come and have a sleep over with me. I had met each of them once. To my amazement and great delight, they accepted! We made cookies, watched movies and talked. A regular girls night in:) These are the cookies we made. Oh. My. Goodness gracious. Let me just tell you. These cookies were PERFECT. We all decided to change our majors and go into culinary arts. I wish. Also, sorry for the poor quality pictures:/

Recipe:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 stick butter, softened
1 egg
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cup flour
as many chocolate chips as you want!

Preheat the oven to 375. Spray a cookie sheet and set aside. In a medium bowl mix together sugars until brown sugar is clump-less. Add butter and egg one at a time. Mix well. Add vanilla, salt and baking powder and mix and mix till thoroughly blended. Add flour. At this point, you want to mix the batter as little as possible. Stop mixing as soon as there is no more visible flour on the dough or in the bottom of the bowl. Fold in the chocolate chips. Scoop the batter onto the baking sheet into globs as big as you'd like. Cook for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. (We cooked them for 8 minutes then 2 more.)

*Please post a picture of what yours turn out to look like! I'd love to see!
