Polka dots and maxi skirts

shirt: Walmart; belt: f21; skirt: homemade; :shoes: my mom's closet

There's been a thunderstorm every night this week here in little old Lindon. And I love it.
I can't think of anything to blog about so I'm going to explain my outfit. A few weeks ago I went to walmart and saw this rack of shirts for $4. Naturally I had to get some. Hello? Cheap basics? Done and done. I got the yellow one I'm wearing, the nautical style black and white striped one featured here and lastly a blue striped one I haven't yet worn. The skirt I made. So simple. Throw some elastic around your waist, grab some fabric, hem the bottom, sew the side, large hem on top, thread the elastic through, sew up hole and wear. I found this fabric lying around my house and I was ecstatic! I'm trying to get into polka dots because I'm normally not really a fan but I've seen some cute outfits using it! The belt is from f21 and lastly my shoes! Yep. They're my mom's. I'm pretty sure I've taken ownership over them though because they are so darn cute.
